- Description
It's designed to support posts when constructing fencing, pergolas and carports, on a hard (concrete/decking/paved) surface, making easy installation and removal of posts easy.
We recommend Metpost Anchor Bolts are used to secure the anchors in place - four bolts are required per anchor fitting. To install, simply bolt the anchor to secure it, then slot the post into place. As cement isn't required, you avoid any mess. Save money and order by ordering an anchor and bolts together see the options listed.
This is the wedge grip version of the support, meaning posts are held in place by hammering it into the ‘boot’ of the support and over the fins. These fins are at a slight angle which allows the posts to travel down into the boot but not be pulled out. To replace posts in a wedge grip support, you have to drill and chisel the wooden post out of the wedge grips. Many customers opt for the System 2 version of this support - Metpost System 2 Bolt Down Anchor for 99mm-100mm Posts - which allows for easier post replacement.
This anchor is suitable for 99mm, 100mm, 101mm, 102mm and 103mm posts. You can also purchase the anchor suitable for 73mm-78mm posts here.
