  • Description

    Ideal for fencing projects, the wedge holds each post in a vice-like grip without the need for nails or screws. 


    Choose from either a 600mm or 750mm spike to suit your needs.


    This is the System 2 version of the support, meaning it’s secured with bolts on the outside of the ‘boot’. Tightening these bolts is what holds the posts in place. If the post rots, you will be able to undo the bolts and slide the post out, then insert a new post and tighten the bolts up again. Please note, you may need to replace the nuts and bolts. We also offer the standard version - Metpost Wedge Grip Post Support 75mm - that doesn’t feature the bolts.

    Don’t worry if you’re outside of this zone or if the item is smaller then we will send your item through a courier. This option costs £4.99 up to the value of £250 and for over £250 it is completely free. However, due to some Metpost items’ heavy weight, the couriers’ delivery fee will increase if your order contains more than 20 Metpost items.

Fantastic customer service. There was an issue with the item I ordered online (not Fencing Essentials' fault, so far as I can tell), and everyone I spoke to at Fencing Essentials was extremely helpful and intent on resolving the issue. The manager, Mark, actually made a special trip out to me to deliver a replacement - I don't think customer service gets any better than that! They will be my first stop in the future for fencing materials.

I've been to a DIY shop and struggled with roof bars and fence panels, and put fence posts in my car. Fencing essentials does free local delivery, I wish I had discovered their services sooner!

Order All Worked. Very helpful in answering queries over the phone, then ordered online, straightforward. I liked that the website was clear and particularly that it spelt out that the timber I was wanting (gravelboards) was treated to UC4. (Many suppliers just say "treated" and if you bother to enquire that probably means UC3.)
