  • Description

    The anchor is designed to support posts, when constructing fencing, pergolas and carports, on a hard (concrete/decking/paved) surface, making easy installation and removal of posts easy.


    This anchor is suitable for 99mm, 100mm, 101mm, 102mm and 103mm posts. You can purchase the version suitable for 73-78mm posts here.


    We recommend Metpost Anchor Bolts are used to secure the anchors in place - four bolts are required per anchor fitting. To install, simply bolt the anchor to secure it, then slot the post into place. As cement isn't required, you avoid any mess. Save money and order by ordering an anchor and bolts together see the options listed.


    This is the System 2 version of the support, meaning it’s secured with bolts on the outside of the ‘boot’. Tightening these bolts is what holds the posts in place. If the post rots, you will be able to undo the bolts and slide the post out, then insert a new post and tighten the bolts up again. Please note, you may need to replace the nuts and bolts. This option costs £4.99 up to the value of £250 and for over £250 it is completely free. However, due to some Metpost items’ heavy weight, the couriers’ delivery fee will increase if your order contains more than 20 Metpost items.

Fantastic customer service. There was an issue with the item I ordered online (not Fencing Essentials' fault, so far as I can tell), and everyone I spoke to at Fencing Essentials was extremely helpful and intent on resolving the issue. The manager, Mark, actually made a special trip out to me to deliver a replacement - I don't think customer service gets any better than that! They will be my first stop in the future for fencing materials.

I've been to a DIY shop and struggled with roof bars and fence panels, and put fence posts in my car. Fencing essentials does free local delivery, I wish I had discovered their services sooner!

Order All Worked. Very helpful in answering queries over the phone, then ordered online, straightforward. I liked that the website was clear and particularly that it spelt out that the timber I was wanting (gravelboards) was treated to UC4. (Many suppliers just say "treated" and if you bother to enquire that probably means UC3.)
